Hello,

unfortunately, since one and a half week we are back in germany. I would like to give you some feedback about our tour.

First of all: Thank you for some very well organized and unforgetable days in indonesia. I would like to say something to the different parts of our trip.

Ujung Kulon: We have been the only tourists on Handeleum and Peucang (there was no minister). We enjoyed the rainforest althoug we didn’t see so much animals (kingfisher, lizards, hornbill, bos javanicus, some nice birds, python, some nice fishes when snorkeling) The guide was a nice guy and tryed to help us whereever he could. Unfortunately he wasn’t so experienced with wildlife and the rainforest (the rangers weren’t too) But this wasn’t so important because it wasn’t our first rainforest trip so that we had enough experienced by our own. The boat and meals were very good. The staff on the boat polite, helpful and friendly.

Tanjung Puting: It was an amazing experience to sleep on the boat in the middle of the rainforest. Again the staff on the boat and the guide were very nice people. The cook was the best we had in the entire journey. Our guide (Rudi) knew a lot about the rainforest. We have seen a lot of animals (Orang Utan, gibbon, proboscis, birds, …) We could have done this for one more week :-) One negative point was the behavior of some guides in the national park. They allowed to touch and feed the Orang Utan which is really bad for them.

Yogjakarta: Our guide (Eka) was the most pleasant guide we ever had in our life. We enjoyed the temples, the city, the hotel – everything.

Flores/Rinca: The boat was really nice. Again nice staff, good meals.

We also liked the trekking on Flores, the flying foxes and snorkeling somewhere between the islands. We have seen a lot of animals (komodo dragon, wild horse, wild pig, wild deer, birds, wild buffalo) The guide (Augostino (or similar)) tried to do everything for us. But sometimes he was a bit strange. (speaking very loudly when we were close to animals, so that they ran away. Telling us in the first five minutes how much tip he got from the guests before.) But prevailing he was polite and helpful.

Bali: The hotel was a nice choice even though Kuta is an ugly (sorry!:-) ) town. The city was good to walk around in the evening. Anyway, during the day we explored the island. Your staff in Bali was really nice. The women (sorry, I forgot the name) gave us a lot of hints what to do and where/how to go.

Hotel in Jakarta: The FM7 is a very nice airport-hotel. Again this was a great choice. All transfers have been on time (the flights too). So once again. Thank you for a great holiday. I will recommend your travel agency to my friends in some internet communities.

Kind regards,

Peter Stange
